FIRST LADY AND MANSION ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCE ART COMPETITION FOR 2009 ARKANAS ARTIST CALENDAR TO BENEFIT THE GOVERNOR’S MANSION ASSOCIATION

First Lady Ginger Beebe and the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion Association are publishing the 2nd edition Arkansas Artist Engagement Calendar featuring Arkansas artists and their works.  The 2009 Calendar will be on sale starting September 10, 2008.  As with last year’s calendar, an impartial panel of jurors will choose the works to be included in the 2009 calendar.

“The success of the 2008 Engagement Calendar has encouraged us to publish another calendar.  Arkansas is blessed with a multitude of talented artists and I am excited to once again showcase their talents.  I hope that the artists who entered last year and new artists from around the state will participate this year, “said Mrs. Beebe.

Arkansas artists are encouraged to enter the competition for inclusion in the calendar by April 30, 2008.  For details on the competition and how to submit artwork, please contact the Governor’s Mansion at 501-324-9805.

The Arkansas Governor’s Mansion Association is a non-profit, bipartisan group that exists to maintain and preserve the history of the mansion, not only for the First Family’s enjoyment but also for the thousands who visit our state annually.
